It's clear what you mean but it's definitely when Guren betrayed Yu, and Yu done the right thing in needing better than that.
It is a huge loss of Chess and Horn, their return was awaited like nothing else as they were iconic characters with so much more to give where they were certainly capable of shaping story events. While horrible for Crowley there may be a chance he could return with Ferid having kept his remains.
The chains may have been a first case of Ferid literally absorbing power, but it seems it was just used to catch the remains of Crowley. For Crowley being the 440th.
Btw, this chapter sure makes Ferid more likable. He is no longer a jerk or some sorts of joker.
That's insane 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 how on Earth does having a disinterested in anything, sibling murdering, Horn, Chess (likely) and Crowley murdering pest who jokes about it, is worse than a jerk to them and the team at large... exactly how to make someone likeable and show they are no longer a jerk or joker 🤣
Now we can see that what he did was kind of good as he wished to end the reincarnation cycle and helped others escaping from the hell that God casted.
That's even worse! 😆 Ferid has done nothing good. Even if he succeeded in breaking a cycle of reincarnation how is that beneficial?! Ferid may not like it but others might, and as a process affecting others it's not Ferid's choice to decide what affects many others. Calling the Earth Hell is subjective, others can and do derive happiness wherever it may be found. It's nothing noble of Ferid to break a reincarnation cycle, he's just doing it for his own benefit since he has poisonous views of the world being boring. Escape the supposed hell made? Escape to where, Ferid doesn't know or care.
At this point, what Guren done was awful yes and yet Yu still means to help someone whose hands are effectively tied.
The chapter doesn't seem to reference the first chapter? Later chapters do show story events such as Ferid and Guren working together, around that time. Maybe what you mean is that others are forming their own plans, and well they are underway here having already been prepared beforehand. Right now it seems Ferid's true plan, independent from that of Guren's, has at last been revealed given his interest in reincarnation. The art remains ever lovely! Variation and developments have taken place as any series would have.
But a new sudden path in delivering horrendous events given who was affected in this chapter.
