This interrogator is an unnamed character in the Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at Sixteen manga. He questioned Guren Ichinose when he was brought to a torture chamber located underneath the gym at Shibuya High School.

Appearance[]

He appeared to be an elderly man, whose light colored hair was cut into different lengths. The back of his hair was shorter than on top, and his yet longer fringe was swept over the left side of his forehead partially over his left eye which was covered by an eye-patch. He has a thick mustache and for clothing wore a lab coat over the dark colored, collared uniform associated with staff at the school.

Personality[]

Disregarding any discomfort Guren may have been feeling he focused on acquiring information. He was willing to inject a young person with a substance, and strike him to stop him falling asleep.

Story[]

After Kureto Hīragi assailed Guren to ascertain whether he was concealed a true level of strength, and had any connections to the Hyakuya Sect who had recently launched an attack on the school, this interrogator was in the room with Guren after he woke up. As he busied himself with a tray of hypodermic needles, and solutions, he noticed Guren begin to nod off. Smacking him across the face he spoke to not sleep. Yanking Guren's hair up, he then shines a light in his face and comments on him enduring this level of torture for three days. Feeling there is sure to be a limit, he prepares a needle and administering it into Guren’s left arm he questions whether he was working with the Hyakuya Sect. Keeping the flashlight in Guren’s eyes, with him mumbling the interrogator asks what is it. When Guren asks for water, he replies if he answers the question he could have some, then repeated whether he was working for the Hyakuya Sect. Hitting Guren’s face, he contends that the Hyakuya Sect is Guren’s ally. Hearing that Guren got an invitation but their interests did not match, his follow up question is if Guren got an invite, did he know the massacre would take place. Learning that Guren knew a war would begin, but was unsure when, the interrogator asserts that Guren is a member of the Hyakuya Sect, and sold out the Hiragi. With Guren laughing at the postulation he asks what is so funny, and does he admit his crimes. With Guren saying to kill him, the interrogator adds there is more.

Once Kureto joins them, asked whether Guren has told the truth, the interrogator replies it seems to him that he is talking about his real intention. After Kureto details how Guren’s father came for his son, and confessed before his heart stopped, the interrogator is surprised at Kureto saying Guren has been acting up until now.[1] Ordered to release Guren’s restraints, he means to before beholding him crack his own wrist to slip out of the bindings.[2]

Relationships[]

Guren Ichinose[]

He treated a young student and member of the Ichinose house as a prisoner. Physically violent, he is under the impression the Hyakuya Sect wanted house Ichinose to submit, unaware that this was a misleading statement from Guren as the Hyakuya Sect's actions were to outright assault the Hiragi family. He overlooked Guren’s question of being the Hyakuya Sect’s servant, or the branch family scum, how are they different.

Kureto[]

The third year student council president, who he interrogates Guren for. Answering his questions, and complying with requests professionally, he would have heard Kureto ask Guren to become his right hand man.
