Takaya Kagami (鏡貴也 Kagami Takaya?) is a Japanese light novel and manga writer.[1] He is the creator of Seraph of the End alongside other works, such as The Legend of Legendary Heroes and A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives, which have been adapted into anime shows.

Background

Takaya Kagami was born on May 22, 1979.[1] When he was a child, he lived by a Church, and naturally gathered information about Christianity. This knowledge helped him create Owari no Seraph.[2]

Kagami uses Cool Mint text editor when he writes, and always brings his laptop with him when he goes to family restaurants. He is good friends with Ryōgo Narita, the creator of  Baccano! and Durarara!!, and has known him for over ten years.[3]

Kagami is also on nice terms and normally speaks with Kenji Inoue, the author of Baka and Test and has been friends with him for eight years.[2]
