After trumpets of the apocalypse proclaim the fall of humanity, vampires arise from the shadows to rule the earth. Yūichirō wants just one thing—to get revenge by killing each and every vampire.

Now that Ferid’s been rescued, Yūichirō and the gang regroup at Guren’s childhood home. There, Guren reveals a terrible secret — the angel that was summoned with the original apocalypse is trapped inside, and Yūichirō and his friends must work together to defeat it! Author's note[]

Before I knew it, autumn has arrived. I've been so busy lately that it feels like I've barely had the time to flail in panic before a whole year went by. The only thing that hasn't changed is that I still love potato chips and curry. I hope you enjoy the new volume.

Takaya Kagami

This volume we get a little glimpse at Krul's and Asuramaru's past. The mystery around Yu's too. The way things go, you wind up very curious about the other vampires' pasts by the end.

Cover Details[]

Volume seventeen's cover displays Aoi Sangū appearing in a state of combat. While she is featured on this cover, Aoi herself does not appear in any of the chapters in this volume. Depicted in color, Aoi's Japanese Imperial Demon Army uniform is shown to have red features, predominately on the interior of her cloak, and in middle sections of her attire. The uniform is navy blue overall, where the jacket is worn over a white undershirt based on her sleeves. Aoi wears grey colored tights underneath her short skirt. Seen as having violet colored eyes, Aoi has the same blond hair color as her sister Mitsuba Sangū, yet whether due to the light or because it is there, she has a red color to the part of her hair tied with a long ribbon to the left side of her head.

Wielding a weapon where both the guard and blade are colored gold, this may be an indication of the color of this sword, or be because of the light cast on it. The tip of the weapon flickers with gold, where a seemingly independent golden light also slightly illuminates the back of Aoi's jacket. In addition to gold flecks, there are rainbow like lights amongst the golden shine mostly coming from the top right of the image. Behind Aoi appears to be the world, with ocean and land masses viewable. Some areas are golden on account of the light, to appearing green where they are not lower down in the image.
