After trumpets of the apocalypse proclaim the fall of humanity, vampires arise from the shadows to rule the earth. Yūichirō wants just one thing—to get revenge by killing each and every vampire.
Yūichirō has no memory of his terrifying but temporary transformation into a one-winged monster during the battle for Shinjuku. The widely feared leaders of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, however, take note of his squad’s unusual talent. Despite the unwanted attention, Yūichirō's resolve to save Mika from the vampires crystallizes as his real training in demon possession and manifestation begins.

Cover Details[]
Volume five's cover displays Yoichi Saotome in color while preparing to fire his Cursed Gear bow, Gekkouin. His brown hair and dark green eyes are seen, as is the black with green features uniform of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Wearing the uniform's hat where other members of his squad often don't, what could be an association with the color green is further the case on account of the coloration of his bow. Like his uniform, the large weapon is black overall with noticeable green features such as the circles on either side of the handle. The bow string shares the coloration, and notably the faded projectile that is produced begins with it, before forming into a long blackened tip. Yoichi holds his index finger out, sharing his view and the arrow's trajectory.
Seemingly located outside, the rising and ruined buildings, foliage, and wrecked stonework, is entirely tinged with light green. Yoichi is one of the only subjects shown in his natural coloration. It is in chapter 19 that Yoichi would be monitoring the area to allow Yu and Kimizuki to train with their demons. Capable of manifestation, Yoichi would easily deal with multiple incoming Horsemen of the Apocalypse that were approaching them.
